Well folks, the end of February is here and boy oh boy has this winter been a doozy. This Thursday Thoughts is a bit of a catch up for the Goldstein family and I have to apologize for that. I had every intention of keeping the blog updated thru these slower months, but life has been crazy here!
It will come as no surprise to you if you live in the Midwest that this winter there has been a lot more snowfall than usual. Combine that with the extra glazings of ice we have received and ou have a very cold and very inhospitable winter. Being a warm weather creature, that means I was in full hygge mode from January first to now. My giant fuzzy blanket has become a permanent in-home fashion statement and my slipper socks are already worn thru with holes after only two months of wear. 🙁
We also rang in the new year with a hygge dinner party on new year’s eve! There were lots of cozy soups, warm breads, and excellent company in our little house. Such a wonderful and relaxing way to welcome 2019!
However, it hasn’t been all snuggles and hibernation here. A few good snowfalls meant that we were able to get out and enjoy the ‘slopes’ with our sleds! Camdynn and Rhys have discovered the fun that is building snow ramps and you just can’t beat a full day of sledding and snowman building ending with warm mugs of hot chocolate! And we have found our new favorite hot chocolate mixes this winter!
Here’s a little bit of snow day fun from our family films:
These last two months has also called the tooth fairy quite a bit to our home. Camdynn has lost BOTH of her front teeth and is enjoying her newfound straw holes. 🙂 This means our lost tooth count is up to five and we are just waiting for the current wiggly tooth to fall out soon.
Two months is far too long to not hear from you all, so please leave me a comment below and catch me up on what has been happening for you and yours lately! Better yet, head on over to my Instagram and give me a follow so I can follow you and keep up-to-date on your current adventures!
