Summer in Film

Personal

the blog:

If you’ve been around here for a little bit, you probably know that this year, 2018, I am learning film photography. Yes, I mean film like rolls of film, cameras where you can’t see the image on the back, and even having to carry around an external light meter because the camera is so old that it does not come with one. 🙂

This summer I really challenged myself to shoot one  roll a month and here are some of my favorites!

Why film you might ask. Well, friend, I challenge you think back to the last time you went down a Pinterest rabbit hole in the photography category. Remember those photos that made you stop in your tracks because they are just so amazingly life-like and soft? Yep, those were most likely shot on a film camera. Film has this beautiful ability to capture true-to-life colors and a breathtaking depth in photographs. Film photographs just have this feeling to them that are cozy and soft and perfect!

So, without further ado, my favorite film photographs from our summer!
